What is Project
Mini-Chopper?
In Fall 2009, four teams of high school students will build mini-choppers as part of a Manitowoc County effort to promote careers in manufacturing—an effort that is needed to address the growing demand for skilled workers.
The High School Manufacturing Project is a collaborative effort spearheaded by The Economic Development Corporation of Manitowoc County and The Chamber of Manitowoc County with supporting sponsorships by area businesses, manufacturers and local high schools.
The project will give high school students real life experiences as they build their mini-chopper as part of their academic curriculum.
Participating students will:
Learn about manufacturing careers
Gain new skills
Connect with area employers
Experience real world issues
Meet new people
Have FUN!
